Adopted July 10, 2014
Revised May 31, 2018, Approved by Helper City Council June 7, 2018
Interlibrary Loan service is essential to the vitality of libraries of all types and sizes and is a means by which a wide range of material can be made available to users. In the belief that the furtherance of knowledge is in the general interest of the public, the Helper Library will be a participant in providing interlibrary loan service to its patrons. The Helper Library will follow the guidelines of the lending library and will lend requested materials using current guidelines stated in the Public Services Policy.
An interlibrary loan is a transaction in which library material or a copy of the material is made available by one library to another upon request.
The purpose of interlibrary loan service is to obtain library material not available at the Helper Library and to loan material found at the Helper Library, which is not available in other libraries.
